NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- The Illinois State men's tennis team (4-11) will travel to the Music City to clash with Lipscomb University (4-5) of the ASUN Conference on Saturday, March 8. First serve is set for 2 p.m inside Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center.
LAST TIME OUT
ISU dropped a road test against Saint Mary's University of California (1-8)Â by a score of 6-1 inside of Colter Tennis Facility on Saturday (Mar. 1).Â
The Birds claimed one win from Jett Leong at the No. 5 singles position as Leong defeated Duran of Saint Mary's California in straight-sets by scores of 6-1 and 6-4.
SCOUTING THE BISON
Lipscomb fell to East Tennessee State on February 23. In singles play, Oskar Symczak battled to a 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 win. At No. 4, Facundo Perlov picked up a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win against Francisco Lamas of ETSU.
UP NEXT-
The Birds will travel to Omaha, NE for a pair of matches against non-conference opponent Creighton on March 22. ISU will then take on Summit League foe Omaha in the Conference opener inside Miracle Hills Tennis Center on March 23.
