NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team heads to Milwaukee for a midweek match on Wednesday against Marquette, as the Redbirds look to win their fourth contest in a row.
SCOUTING THE REDBIRDS
•   The Redbirds are 3-2 on the spring and have won three-straight matches heading into the contest with Marquette.
•   Last week, ISU picked up a pair of wins over Saint Louis (4-3) on Friday before defeating Chicago State (6-1) on Sunday to pick up its third-straight victory.
•   Illinois State's top singles player Tomas Valencia went 2-0 at the No. 1 spot last week, cruising to a straight-set win against Saint Louis' Sacha Lefebure by a score of 6-1, 6-4, before taking down Chicago State's Yurii Hoida in straight sets on Sunday 6-4, 6-4.
•   The No. 2 doubles tandem of Tin Ostro and Caden Scarlett were also impressive, as they won both of their matches during the week by scores of 6-3.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLESÂ
•   Marquette (0-7) is still looking for its first head-to-head win of the spring, as it comes off three losses last week to UIC, UIndy and Notre Dame.
•   The squad returns seven players from last season, including Blake Roegner, Evan Glebov, Teddy Wong, Ivan Vazquez, Kristian Blagoev, Hugh Perrill, and Remi St. Laurent.
