Registration Opens for Drew Roff's Redbird Soccer Camps

NORMAL, Ill. - Youth soccer players in central Illinois have the opportunity to learn soccer the Redbird way this summer at Drew Roff's Redbird soccer camps. Illinois State head coach Drew Roff and his staff of collegiate coaches and players have won three-straight Missouri Valley Conference regular-season titles and are bringing that experience and success to their camps for a fourth summer. The Redbird Soccer Day Camp will run from June 21-24. The Drew Roff Redbird Soccer Camp for Girls will run from July 21-25.

Redbird Soccer Day Camp The Redbird Soccer Day Camp is open for boys and girls, ages 6 to 13, and runs from 9 a.m., to 12 p.m. The camp is designed to teach youth players valuable soccer skills and build self confidence in a fun and challenging environment. Campers receive two hours of technical instruction in the morning and will apply the skills from the morning in fun and competitive games.

The camp registration fee is $115 if completed by June 1 and $135 after that. All campers receive a camp T-shirt and are required to bring cleats, shin guards, a soccer ball, sun block, tennis shoes and rain gear.

Drew Roff's Soccer Camp for Girls The Drew Roff Redbird Soccer Camp for Girls is a residential camp open to all girls, ages 13 to 18. This camp offers players the opportunity to raise their game to a higher level by putting them in an environment that is competitive and challenging for each player. Each training session will focus on improving the players' soccer sense through technical repetition, tactical instruction and competition. There will also be specialized training and instruction for goalkeepers during each session, and will include individualized feedback on a daily basis.

Roff serves as the camp director and is joined by featured camp coach Brian Borde, who has served as a coach for the Region II Girls Olympic Development Program (ODP) for the last 25 years.

Camp registration costs $480 for residential participants, which includes room and board, and $395 for commuters. All campers can receive a $25 discount if they register by June 1. Teams of eight or more may sign up together and receive a $35 discount for each participant. Each camper will receive a Nike t-shirt and soccer ball.

A licensed ISU athletic trainer will be available during all camp sessions, and a medical history form is required for all campers.
