NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State head soccer coach Drew Roff has announced the addition of Elizabeth Brown to the Redbird roster for the 2010 season. Brown signed on to play soccer at ISU and will be a freshman in the fall of 2010. Brown and the seven other Redbird freshmen will join with the returning 17 players to make a 25-player roster.
Head coach Roff looks forward to the depth that Brown will bring to the Redbirds.
"Liz is an athletic goalkeeper that has a great deal of potential. She will give us depth at that position next fall and really add to our competitive environment in training."
Brown was a two-year starter at Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Ill. She was a member of the Regional championship team her junior year. Brown has been a member of the Sockers FC Chicago club team since her freshman year. Brown assisted the Sockers to the Nike Classic Cup U-15 Championship in 2007, the 2008 Red Lion Spring Invitational U-18 Championship and 2008 State Cup semifinals.
Brown also participated in track in high school, achieving seven individual first-place finishes and assisted the team to 10 first-place finishes in relays and invitationals.
