NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State swimming and diving team added to its 2017-18 roster, as head swimming coach Scott Cameron and head diving coach Phil Hoffmann announced Thursday the signing of four student-athletes to National Letters of Intent.
The new Redbirds are: Elizabeth Aument (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North HS), Emily Aument (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North HS), Brooke Jensen (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville HS) and Alyssa Reinholz (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South HS).

Elizabeth Aument
Hometown: Downers Grove, Ill.
High School: Downers Grove North HS
Club: DuPage Dive Academy (six years)
Career Highlights: 2015 All-American … Sectional Champ junior year … set high school varsity 11-dive record junior year … received Downers Grove North Top 10 Award all four years … ninth place at IHSA state junior year … sectional and conference runner-up senior year … sectional runner-up freshman and sophomore.
Emily Aument
Hometown: Downers Grove, Ill.
High School: Downers Grove North HS
Club: DuPage Dive Academy (six years)
Career Highlights: Set varsity 6-dive record senior year … sectional champion senior year … conference champion senior year … sixth place at IHSA state junior year … seventh place at IHSA state freshman year … 2015 All-American … ISA second-team all-state sophomore year … Downers Grove North Top 10 Award all four years.
Hoffmann on Elizabeth and Emily Aument: "I am truly excited to have Elizabeth and Emily Aument joining the Redbird swimming and diving team. Their accomplishments speak for themselves, but it's what is not seen on paper that drew me to them. They are passionate about their sport and are all-around fantastic people. They will be great additions to our program."
Brooke Jensen
Hometown: Yorkville, Ill.
High School: Yorkville HS
Club: Delta Aquatics Swim Club (four years)
Career Highlights: Conference champion senior year in 100- and 200-yard freestyle, as well as the 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay … set school records in 100- and 200-yard freestyle, and 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays junior year … Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference Most Valuable Swimmer Award junior and senior year.
Cameron on Jensen: "Brooke will be a great addition to the Redbird family. She is strong in the sprint and mid-distance freestyles, and will make an impact for us right away. We are very excited to have Brooke become a Redbird, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for her."
Alyssa Reinholz
Hometown: Downers Grove, Ill.
High School: Downers Grove South HS
Clubs: West Swim Club (four years), Express Swim Club (five years)
Career Highlights: Earned all-conference honors in four events all four years … team MVP freshman and sophomore years … set team records freshman and sophomore years … received English and Communication Award, as well as the Mustang Way Award. Â
Cameron on Reinholz: "We are very excited to have Alyssa join the Redbird family. She is a very good up-and-coming sprinter, and will make an immediate impact in the sprints and on relays for us. She has a bright future ahead of her, and she will make a great Redbird."
The 2016-17 Illinois State swimming and diving team is off to a strong start, having posted back-to-back dual meet victories ahead of this weekend's Louisville Invite.
