NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's soccer team (2-3-1) gets on the road Sunday, traveling to Indianapolis to face off against IUPUI (3-3-0) at 12 p.m. CT. The Redbirds defeated the Jaguars, 4-1, at home last season.

IUPUI – What You Need to Know
The Jaguars are coming off back-to-back wins on the road against Manhattan and Wagner, defeating each opponent 1-0. They face Ball State at home tonight at 6 p.m. CT. Freshman Valentine Pursey and senior Krissy Kirkhoff have been offensive leaders for the Jaguars this season, tallying 19 and 18 shots, respectively, and two goals each so far in the 2017 season. Pursey lead the team with six shots and the lone goal in the win over Manhattan while Kirkhoff lead the team with four shots and the lone goal in the win over Wagner. Sophomore Sophia Lipka leads the team between the pipes with 29 saves on the season so far, tallying five saves in each of the past two matches.
Last Time Out
The Redbirds defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers, 1-0, September 3 at Pitt. ISU opened the match outshooting the Panthers seven to five and limited them to one shot on goal to the Redbirds' six. In the 43rd minute, senior Emily Dickman got the ball to space outside the 18 and freshman Sarah Lafayette was able to find the back of the net, giving ISU the 1-0 lead heading into the half. ISU continued their offensive dominance in the second half, finishing with nine shots on goal to Pitt's three. Sophomore keeper Haley Smith notched her second shutout of 2017 with the win.
