Illinois State (8-7-2, 3-2-0) journeys to Evansville, Indiana on Sunday to take on the Evansville Purple Aces (4-9-2, 2-2-1) in their final regular season road match of the season. Kickoff at McCutchan Field is set for 1 p.m.
The Redbirds lead the all-time series with the Purple Aces, 17-8-3, and have won seven of the last eight meetings. In 2017, Illinois State claimed a 3-0 victory over Evansville at home, behind a goal from Kelli Zickert and a brace from Sarah LaFayette.

Most recently, Evansville fell to Missouri State, 1-0, on Wednesday in Springfield, Missouri. The Purple Aces were outshot 15-4 and 10-2 in shots on goal, in the match that saw them extend their scoreless streak to three consecutive games. Sophomore goalkeeper Michaela Till made nine saves on the night, improving her season total to 79 saves.
Evansville is in the midst of a scoring draught and haven't scored since their Sept. 29 win over Valparaiso. The Purple Aces have netted 11 goals in the 2018 campaign with forward Montana Portenier owning a team-high six points.

Illinois State defeated Indiana State (6-7-3, 0-4-1) by a 3-1 decision Wednesday night in Normal, Illinois. Sophomore Natalie Vaughn-Low, junior Kate Del Fava and freshman Shaina Dudas all netted goals for the 'Birds, helping them to their third conference win and improving their home record to 5-1-1. Junior Haley Smith had nine saves in goal.
