"It was a very solid first day for us," said head swimming coach Scott Cameron. "We had a lot of very good swims, and it was great to see everyone continue to improve on what we have been working on all season. I'm excited to see them build through each day and session, as well as race some very good competition."
"We had a little adversity today, but I was proud of the way the divers faced that head on," said head diving coach Phil Hoffman. "We will only continue to improve and get better from here. Tomorrow is a very strong day for us!"
Illinois State will have two more days of competition and conclude the TYR Invitational on Sunday.
