NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State soccer team will host two youth camps during summer 2018. The camps will be held at Hancock Stadium and Adelaide Street Field and will be under the direction of head coach Brad Silvey and his staff.
"We are really excited about our summer camp series for the youth within our community," said Silvey. "Our aim within the camps is to provide an environment where every camper will be appropriately challenged based on their individual level, while developing a deeper love and passion for the game of soccer. Ultimately, we want all of our campers to walk away being better soccer players and better people, while enjoying a memorable experience. We have a great staff, wonderful soccer facilities and a quality curriculum in place that will all combine for a great camp atmosphere. We look forward to seeing both new and familiar faces this summer at our youth camps!"
From June 4-7 Illinois State will host its Junior Redbird Day Camp. The coed camps are open to kids grades 1-6, and will go from 9am-12pm all four days. The camp will provide a fun and competitive environment that will both develop their soccer skills as well as their love for the game. The cost of attendance for all four days is $120 and t-shirts will be provided to all campers. There is an early sign-up period now until April 16 for a discounted price of $110.
On July 16 and 18, ISU will be hosting a two-day skills camp, focusing on ball mastery. Session one will run from 5-6:30 pm on both days and is open to kids pre-K through fourth grade. Session two will go from 7-8:30 pm on both days and is open to kids in grades 5-12. The cost of attendance for both days is $40 and t-shirts will be available for an extra $10. There is an early sign-up period now until April 16 for a discounted price of $35.
