The Illinois State women's soccer team hosted an RB4L Reunion Tailgate before their match versus conference foe Missouri State this past Saturday. Alumni of the soccer program were offered tours of campus and Illinois State athletics facilities, including a sneak peak at the new locker room to be finished this fall.
Beth "Seidelmann" Bataoel ('96-'99) served as the honorary captain and delivered the game ball in the pregame ceremonies. She was recognized by head coach Brad Silvey as an Outstanding Alumni and received a plaque for her dedication and service to the Illinois State women's soccer program throughout the years.
All former players and staff were honored on the field at halftime. This year, the Redbird soccer program celebrated the 20th anniversary of the 1998 and 1999 teams and the tenth anniversary of the 2008 and 2009 teams. Illinois State earned MVC regular season championships in each of these four seasons and the 2009 team also added a MVC tournament championship and reached the NCAA tournament.
