ST. LOUIS – Junior Caroline Lecoeur has been selected as the Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
The reigning MVC Diver of the Year only needed one meet to qualify for NCAA Diving Zones, as the Lyons, France, native finished first in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events in ISU's season opener against Butler. Lecoeur turned in a score of 281.18 in the 1-meter dive, before returning to the pool and posting a score of 298.58 to account for 18 of the Redbirds' 182 total points in the win. Her performance in the 3-meter diving event is a career-best for the junior.
Lecoeur and the Redbirds return to action on Thursday, when they travel to Champaign, Illinois, for double-dual action against the Illini and Southern Illinois.
