The Illinois State soccer team will continue their four-game homestand, hosting Utah State on Friday evening. Kickoff at Adelaide Street Field is set for 7 p.m. against the Aggies.

Utah State – What You Need to Know
The Aggies are 3-2-1 on the season, collecting wins against South Dakota, Weber State and Marquette. Seven different players have combined for their eight goals this year, with junior defender Imelda Williams leading the squad with two goals, each a game winner. Freshman goalkeeper Diera Walton has started in goal for Utah State in the last four matches, recording a clean sheet in her collegiate debut on Aug. 25 and tallying 23 saves so far this season.
Utah State's offense posted their most goals in a match since 2016 on Sunday, defeating Marquette 5-1 while on the road. Head coach Heather Cairns is in her 17th season with the Aggies, compiling a program-record 160-132-39 mark during her tenure.

Illinois State has never faced Utah State before, making this the first ever meeting between the Aggies and the Redbirds.
Last Time Out
The Illinois State soccer team dropped a match to Big Ten opponent Illinois, 3-2, on Sunday, conceding a goal on a penalty kick with only 51 seconds left in the game. The evening match was played in front of the third-largest crowd in Redbird soccer history. Kate Del Fava and Katherine Felton were ISU's goal scorers, with Mikayla Unger picking up assists on both goals. Two of the Illini's three goals came as a result of penalty kicks.
