NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's soccer team is now scheduled to face Missouri Valley Conference-foe Drake in an exhibition match on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at Adelaide Street Field after originally being scheduled to play an intrasquad scrimmage. The match will not count toward overall or MVC records.

The Redbirds have already played a pair of exhibition matches, recording an undisclosed result against Butler before falling, 4-2, at SIUE. Fifth-year senior Natalie Vaughn-Low and senior Shaina Dudas scored at SIUE.
Illinois State is coming off a 4-7-1 spring season in which five players earned All-MVC accolades. In addition to being named All-MVC First Team, fifth-year senior Ashley Santos was also named a CoSIDA Academic All-American, MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team.
In all, the Redbirds return 24 student-athletes from the spring 2021 team while adding five freshmen and one transfer to the roster.
Drake, which was originally scheduled to travel to South Dakota State for an exhibition on Sunday, finished the spring season with a 2-4-2 record but topped Illinois State, 1-0, in Des Moines.
ISU is scheduled to open the fall 2021 campaign on August 19 at Eastern Michigan.
