NORMAL, Ill. – Chase Walker flirted with a triple-double, scoring 12 points with nine rebounds and nine assists, as the Illinois State Redbirds picked up a lopsided 90-53 win over the Chicago State Cougars on Saturday night inside CEFCU Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Redbirds came out strong out of the gate, scoring the first 10 points of the game, and followed with runs of 8-0 and 13-0, stretching its lead to as many as 32 in the opening half before taking a 45-13 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The second-half lead grew as large as 46 points, as the Redbirds cruised to the 42-point, 95-53 win.
