NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State swim and dive program will host UNI for a two-day meet starting on Friday at 3 p.m. Action at Horton Pool will continue on Saturday at 9 a.m.
The Redbirds return to the pool for the first time since late November, where Illinois State faced off against opponents from the Big Ten, MAC, and Missouri Valley Conferences at the Miami Invitational hosted by Miami (OH).
Illinois State will look to repeat its success in Oxford, Ohio, after the Redbirds claimed eight top-10 marks across the four-day meet. Senior Ella Turken earned three top-10 marks with new personal best times in the 50 Y Free, 100 Y Fly, and 100 Y Free.
The two-day meet beginning on Friday marks the second meet of three that the Redbirds will host during the 2025-26 season. In October, Illinois State hosted Quincy in the first meet of the season, with the Redbirds prevailing with a 180-82 win to secure second-year head coach Riley Hilbrandt's first dual meet win. In the victory, Illinois State secured 12 event wins.
