The Missouri Valley Conference has named 27 Illinois State student-athletes to the 2019 MVC Track & Field Scholar-Athlete team for their combined performances in sport and in the classroom on Wednesday.
Student-athletes recognized on the MVC Scholar-Athlete team must maintain at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average, be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, and have placed in the top eight of an individual event or top three in a relay event at the Indoor or Outdoor Championships.

Qualifying Illinois State men's and women's track & field student-athletes will be back in action later this week, as they travel to Sacramento, California, to compete in the NCAA West Preliminary Round, hosted by Sacramento State, on May 23-25.
