NEW ORLEANS – Illinois State track & field had 12 student-athletes earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday afternoon.
A total of 902 women and 583 men were awarded these honors by USTFCCCA. In order to qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met one of the following criteria athletically:
- For indoor season, a student-athlete must have ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or in the national top 48 for a relay event on the NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
- For outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships, including preliminary rounds.
